Contour RollerMouse Pro

The Contour RollerMouse Pro is an innovative ergonomic mouse designed to reduce the physical strain typically associated with traditional mouse use. It is particularly suited for people who spend long hours working at a computer, such as office professionals, graphic designers and others in similar roles. The RollerMouse Pro addresses issues like repetitive strain injuries (RSI), carpal tunnel syndrome and general discomfort that can arise from constant mouse movements.

One of the key features of the RollerMouse Pro is its centralised placement. Instead of being positioned to the side of the keyboard like traditional mice, the RollerMouse sits directly in front of the user, beneath the spacebar of the keyboard. This central position allows users to control the mouse cursor by moving a roller bar, which is located within easy reach of both hands. The bar can be moved with a light touch, reducing the need for large arm movements and minimising strain on the shoulder, neck and wrist. This design also allows for ambidextrous use, making it suitable for left- and right-handed users alike.

The device features six customisable buttons, allowing users to program frequently used commands to improve productivity. Its precision control is another standout feature, offering adjustable cursor speeds (600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000, 2400 and 2800 DPI) to meet individual preferences and task requirements. Users can easily fine-tune the sensitivity, which can be especially useful in tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as graphic design or CAD work.

Additionally, the RollerMouse Pro is designed with a focus on ergonomic posture. Keeping the mouse and keyboard in alignment helps users maintain a natural posture, reducing the risk of musculoskeletal issues that can develop from long-term repetitive tasks. The design is also compatible with various keyboards, offering flexibility for different setups. Its slim, low-profile design ensures that it integrates seamlessly into most workspaces without occupying too much desk space.

The Contour RollerMouse Pro provides multiple connectivity options, making it highly adaptable for both PC and Mac users. You can connect via Bluetooth, use the USB receiver, or choose a wired cable connection based on your preferred setup. This flexibility allows the RollerMouse Pro to seamlessly integrate into a variety of workstation environments, accommodating your connectivity preference.

Contour RollerMouse Pro is available in wired or wireless options with a choice of three wristrest sizes. The wrist rests are supplied as standard in vegan leather.

For the wireless model, the box contains the RollerMouse Pro, wristrest, keyboard risers, dongle, USB extender and a USB charging cable.

For the wired model, the box contains the RollerMouse Pro, wristrest, keyboard risers and USB charging cable (mounted).

Ergonomics Live: How a Floor Walk Delivered Immediate Impact

The Challenge

A technical team operates in a highly controlled indoor environment, undertaking a combination of intensive screen work and physical tasks involving delicate materials.

Despite having adjustable desks, ergonomic seating, regular DSE assessments and manual handling training, management wanted an independent review to ensure that workstation setups and working habits had not drifted over time.

Our Approach

Osmond Ergonomics & Wellbeing delivered a half-day Ergonomics in Practice Floor Walk, combining:

  • A practical workshop on posture, fatigue and workstation setup
  • One-to-one workstation reviews carried out in the live working environment

Advice was tailored to the team’s specialist equipment, space limitations and physical demands.

The Impact

Out of 14 staff, approximately 50% of workstations were adjusted on the day.

These small but critical changes, including chair height, screen position, and input device placement, immediately reduced strain and improved comfort. The session also refreshed awareness of good working habits, helping prevent the slow return of poor posture that leads to musculoskeletal issues.

Client Feedback

“The session was perfectly pitched for the team. The preparation beforehand made it highly relevant, which is why the team were so engaged.”

Why This Matters

Even in well-managed workplaces, ergonomic drift is common. A simple floor walk delivers quick, measurable improvements that protect wellbeing, reduce injury risk, and boost productivity.

As many services move towards virtual delivery for speed and convenience, this case also highlights the enduring value of being physically present in the working environment. Observing people at work and providing live, individualised feedback allows for nuanced, practical adjustments that simply cannot be replicated remotely.

That’s what makes our floor walking service so valuable and impactful for both individuals and organisations.
